About Us

Who we are

Established in 2003, Optimum Recruitment presents gender focussed shortlists in STEM.  It is recognised that some individuals are reluctant to apply for certain roles and often do not present the best version of themselves at an interview.  In our experience, this can happen at entry level through to more senior positions.  We have found we can identify strong talent by using a high touch, search engagement model. We map talent and engage on behalf of our clients regarding current and future opportunities.

The talent is there, it just needs to be approached differently and you need to be active across a number of professional communities and networks.

Optimum Recruitment works within a broad range of sectors, with global, national and local organisations across Australia, as well as the Asia Pacific region.

With an expert team of consultants boasting extensive industry experience, Optimum is now leading change in recruitment with gender-balanced shortlists across a number of organisations.

No one strategy is the answer to identifying and attracting talent.  It requires a long term campaign across a number of targeted initiatives.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Since Optimum’s inception we have actively supported and sponsored our main charity, Compassionate Friends and the Compassionate Employer Recognition Awards established in 2006. These awards recognise employers who have gone above and beyond the normal policies of most companies in helping employees who have suffered the loss of a child or loved one.

Compassionate Friends, in partnership with the Australian Centre for Grief & Bereavement released in March 2013, has developed a set of guidelines to better educate and support workplaces in the area of grief and bereavement.  Ten strategies were defined following suggestions, based on employee’s life experience of what they have found help guide and support employers in the development of compassionate policy and practice within organisations.
